Various Hours

Fixed term for 12 months

Band 3 – Salary Range £28,011 – £30,230 per annum (pro rata)

Distant Islands Allowance of £2,482 per annum (pro rata)

Are you a Healthcare Support Worker looking for a new challenge and development opportunity? Or curious to try a career in care for the first time?

Ward 3 is a busy acute medical ward that strives to give patients an excellent standard of care in a busy but happy environment which is both challenging and rewarding. You will learn many new skills and enable patients to have the best possible standard of care. We have a very experienced team that will be more than happy to support you to settle into this position. We can be flexible agreeing part‑time working hours for the right candidate.

It is desirable that you are educated to SVQ2 level in healthcare or have equivalent experience working within a caring environment. Effective written and verbal communication skills, numeracy and an interest in developing your healthcare knowledge are also essential.

We currently have 2 x full time positions available and are happy to consider applicants that can work part time or full time. These posts are fixed term for 6 months to provide additional support to the ward during a busy period; there is likely to be substantive hours available to the successful candidate at the end of the fixed term period.
