A leading healthcare provider in Calderdale seeks a part-time Healthcare Assistant for their Hospice Care at Home service. You will support patients with life limiting illnesses, providing personal care, symptom management, and emotional support. The ideal candidate will possess an NVQ Level 2/3 qualification in health and social care, have community care experience, and be a licensed driver. Flexible night shifts are available.
As a Marie Curie Healthcare Assistant you'll be supporting patients and families in their time of greatest need. We provide specialist palliative care and support to patients with life limiting illness whilst offering vital emotional support for their families.
With your background in End of Life care, you are well‑equipped to make a significant impact. Our care model emphasises one‑to‑one support, allowing you to build meaningful relationships with patients and their families, typically within the comfort of their own homes. Operating independently, you will have the autonomy to apply your judgment while following each patient’s established care plan. Your responsibilities will include assisting with personal hygiene, monitoring symptoms, supporting medication management, maintaining thorough records, and providing compassionate emotional support to both patients and their families.
We are recruiting a Healthcare Assistant for our Hospice Care at Home Overnight Service in Calderdale covering Halifax, Holmfirth, Huddersfield, Mirfield and surrounding areas.
Hours: Part Time 36 hours, 9‑hour night shifts (10 pm – 7 am) available.
