A healthcare organization in Sunderland seeks a passionate Healthcare Assistant for its Community Dermatology Team. You will support high-quality nurse-led services for patients with skin conditions. Ideal candidates should have an NVQ Level 2 and the ability to work collaboratively in a busy environment. This part-time role offers £24,937 to £26,598 pro rata based on 20-24 hours per week.

Two positions have arisen within the Community Dermatology Team in Sunderland, based at Bunny Hill Primary Care Centre for a friendly and enthusiastic Band 3 Health Care Assistant. The team delivers local, accessible, high-quality dermatology and minor surgery services in a community care setting.
The service offers a one‑stop principle for patients presenting with skin lesions, where they will have assessments, diagnosis and, where appropriate, surgical procedures taking place by one of our team of doctors or specialist nurses.
We are recruiting two part‑time posts of 20 and 24 hours per week.

As a Dermatology Health Care Assistant, the post holder will be part of a team delivering high quality, nurse‑led services to patients requiring a range of treatments for skin, nail and hair conditions, whilst also providing education and support to those suffering from chronic skin conditions.
As a Health Care Assistant, the post holder will be expected to undertake a range of clinical tasks, such as phlebotomy, urinalysis, blood pressure recording, assisting in minor surgery, wound care and suture removal, once competence is assured.
The Community Dermatology Team are a busy nurse‑led service and there would be an expectation that the successful candidate will work a variety of shifts across a Monday to Friday working week, to meet the needs of the service.
