Are you an experienced Support Worker looking to take the next step in your career? We are recruiting a Senior Support Worker to join a respected care provider in Oxford, supporting adults with learning disabilities, autism, mental health needs, and complex behaviours.

About the Role

As a Senior Support Worker, you will play a key role in leading a team of Support Workers and ensuring high-quality, person-centred support for residents. You will work across supported living or residential settings, helping individuals live independently, safely, and confidently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality support to adults with diverse care needs
  • Lead, mentor, and supervise Support Workers
  • Support with care plans, risk assessments, and daily notes
  • Assist with medication administration (after full training)
  • Promote independence, choice, empowerment, and dignity
  • Support service users with daily living tasks, activities, appointments & community access
  • Manage incidents, safeguarding concerns, and ensure compliance with care standards
  • Work collaboratively with families, healthcare professionals, and the wider team
Requirements
  • Experience working as a Support Worker or Senior Support Worker
  • Strong knowledge of safeguarding, support planning, and care documentation
  • Ability to lead and motivate a staff team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends or evenings
  • NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 in Health & Social Care (desired, not essential)
  • Right to work in the UK (full eligibility required)
