Job summary

David Lloyd Clubs in Manchester Trafford City is seeking a Health and Safety Manager to oversee daily safety and regulatory compliance across the club. You will regularly act as Duty Manager, ensuring smooth operations while leading a team and coordinating self-employed contractors.

You will hold IOSH/NEBOSH or equivalent qualification, with a facilities management background, and a passion for customer service.

Qualifications

• IOSH/NEBOSH or other recognised H&S qualification.
• Facilities Management qualification (HND, Diploma)
• Strong understanding and experience of Health and Safety regulations.
• Experience in managing the maintenance and upkeep of a facility.
• Experience in managing a team in a service-led facility (e.g. restaurant, attraction, retail unit, sporting or leisure facility).
• Passionate about customer service.

Responsibilities

• Act as Duty Manager, taking accountability for ensuring the smooth operation of the club and ensuring day-to-day health & safety and compliance regulations are adhered to.
• Lead a team and ensure all are trained in line with company expectations as well as manage a team of self-employed contractors.
• Create and maintain a safe environment for members and staff, conducting risk assessments and incident investigations when needed.
