Job summary

David Lloyd Clubs in London is seeking a proactive Health and Safety Manager to oversee safety across the club, ensure regulatory compliance, and act as Duty Manager when needed. You will manage a team, oversee maintenance and contractors, and drive training to meet company standards, delivering a safe, customer‑focused environment.

This hands-on role offers opportunities to advance within the network and contributes to a thriving, inclusive club culture.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding and experience of Health and Safety regulations.
• Experience in managing the maintenance and upkeep of a facility.
• Experience in managing a team in a service led facility (e.g. leisure).
• Passionate about customer service.

Responsibilities

• Act as Duty Manager and ensure the smooth operation of the club with emphasis on health and safety.
• Lead a team and ensure training in line with company expectations.
• Manage a team of self-employed contractors and oversee compliance.
• Foster an inclusive culture and focus on delivering customer service.

As Health and Safety Manager you will regularly act as Duty Manager, taking accountability for ensuring the smooth operation of the club and ensuring day to day health & safety and compliance regulations are adhered to. You will lead a team and ensure all are trained in line with company expectations as well as manage a team of self-employed contactors.

About You

• Strong understanding and experience of Health and Safety regulations
• An IOSH / NEBOSH or other relevant, recognised H&S qualification is desirable but not essential
• Experience in managing the maintenance and upkeep of a facility.
• Experience in managing a team in a service led facility(e.g. restaurant, attraction, retail unit, sporting or leisure facility)
• Passionate about customer service.
