Job summary

David Lloyd Clubs in Manchester is seeking a Health and Safety Manager to oversee day-to-day compliance and lead the club’s safety agenda. You will act as Duty Manager, manage a team (including self-employed contractors) and ensure staff training aligns with our safety standards and customer service ethos.

The role requires IOSH/NEBOSH or equivalent, strong knowledge of health and safety regulations in facilities, and a passion for delivering safe, inclusive guest experiences across a busy

Qualifications

• Has an IOSH/NEBOSH or other recognised H&S qualification.
• Relevant Facilities Management Qualification (HND, Diploma etc) may be required.
• Strong understanding and experience of Health and Safety regulations.
• Experience in managing the maintenance and upkeep of a facility.
• Experience in managing a team in a service-led facility (e.g. restaurant, attraction, retail unit, sporting or leisure facility).
• Passionate about customer service.

Responsibilities

• Act as Duty Manager and ensure smooth operation of the club.
• Ensure day-to-day health & safety compliance and regulatory adherence.
• Lead and train a team, including self-employed contractors, to meet company standards.
• Promote a safe, inclusive culture and high service levels for members and staff.

About You

As Health and Safety Manager, we are looking for someone who:
