Job summary

David Lloyd Leisure in Southend-on-Sea is seeking a Health and Safety Manager to oversee operational health and safety, oversee compliance, and lead a team including self-employed contractors to maintain a safe, well-run club.

You will act as Duty Manager, driving training, managing facilities, and ensuring a high standard of customer service while promoting an inclusive culture for members and staff.

Qualifications

• IOSH/NEBOSH or other recognised HS qualification.
• Facilities management qualification (HND, Diploma etc).
• Strong understanding and experience of Health and Safety regulations.
• Experience in managing the maintenance and upkeep of a facility.
• Experience in managing a team in a service led facility (e.g. restaurant, attraction, retail unit, sporting or leisure facility).

Responsibilities

• Act as Duty Manager and oversee smooth operation of the club.
• Ensure day-to-day health & safety and compliance regulations are adhered to.
• Lead a team and manage self-employed contractors.
• Ensure training aligns with company expectations.

About you :
