David Lloyd Clubs in Newcastle upon Tyne seeks a Health and Safety Manager to oversee day-to-day safety and compliance. You will regularly act as Duty Manager, ensuring smooth club operations while leading a safety-focused team and managing self-employed contractors.

The role requires IOSH/NEBOSH or equivalent qualification, plus facilities management experience. A passion for customer service and a commitment to a thriving, inclusive culture are essential.

Qualificações

• IOSH/NEBOSH or equivalent recognised H&S qualification.
• Facilities management qualification (HND, Diploma) or equivalent.
• Experience maintaining facility safety and regulatory compliance.
• Experience leading a team in a service-led facility.

Responsabilidades

• Ensure day-to-day health and safety and regulatory compliance.
• Regularly act as Duty Manager to ensure smooth club operations.
• Lead, train and develop the H&S team; manage self-employed contractors.
• Maintain an environment of belonging and high service standards.

About you:

As Health and Safety Manager, we are looking for someone who: Has an IOSH / NEBOSH or other relevant, recognised H&S qualification Relevant Facilities Management Qualification (HND, Diploma etc) Strong understanding and experience of Health and Safety regulations Experience in managing the maintenance and upkeep of a facility. Experience in managing a team in a service led facility(e.g. restaurant, attraction, retail unit, sporting or leisure facility) Passionate about customer service.
