Job summary

David Lloyd Leisure Ltd in the UK is seeking a Health and Safety Manager to oversee day-to-day compliance, act as Duty Manager, and ensure the safe operation of the club. You will lead a team, manage self-employed contractors, and drive a culture of safety and service.

You will need IOSH/NEBOSH or an equivalent qualification, a facilities management background, and a passion for delivering excellent guest experiences while maintaining high safety standards.

Qualifications

• IOSH/NEBOSH qualification or equivalent recognized H&S credential.
• Facilities management qualification (HND, Diploma, etc.)
• Strong understanding and experience of health and safety regulations.
• Experience in maintaining a facility.
• Experience managing a team in a service-led facility (restaurant, attraction, retail unit, sporting or leisure).
• Passionate about customer service.

Responsibilities

• Act as Duty Manager to ensure smooth club operation.

Compensation Range - competitive £31,000 - £33,000

As Health and Safety Manager you will regularly act as Duty Manager, taking accountability for ensuring the smooth operation of the club and ensuring day to day health & safety and compliance regulations are adhered to. You will lead a team and ensure all are trained in line with company expectations as well as manage a team of self-employed contactors. About you:

• Has an IOSH / NEBOSH or other relevant, recognised H&S qualification
• Relevant Facilities Management Qualification (HND, Diploma etc)

• Experience in managing the maintenance and upkeep of a facility.
• Experience in managing a team in a service led facility(e.g. restaurant, attraction, retail unit, sporting or leisure facility)
