Job summary

A leading packaging manufacturer in the UK seeks a Health Safety and Environmental Manager to lead HSE compliance and initiatives. You will be responsible for monitoring safety targets, coordinating safety framework activities, and ensuring the site meets ISO 45001 and 14001 standards. Candidates should have significant experience in HSE roles, ideally within manufacturing, and hold NEBOSH certification. Qualifications

• Previous HSE Experience in packaging manufacturing is an advantage.
• 5 years' experience in a similar role covering both H&S and environment.
• Experience in implementing, maintaining, and auditing ISO 45001 & 14001.

Health Safety and Environmental Manager

Location: Buxton, Derbyshire - SK17 9RZ

Salary: £45,000 - £52,500 per annum, DOE + Excellent Benefits!

Contract: Full time, permanent

Hours: On site - Monday - Friday 08.30 - 17.00

We are now recruiting for an HSE Manager to assume responsibility for ensuring that all legislation is adhered to and SAICA HSE policies and practices are effective.

You will plan, implement, monitor and review the protective and preventative measures required.

Responsibilities

• Leading compliance with the Company's HSE targets / KPI's and acting as the link on these issues with the Saica group.
• Coordinating site Safety Framework activities and associated assessments & improvement programmes.
• Leading site Legal Compliance (and other requirements) programme (H&S & Environmental).
• Leading site Behavioural Safety Observation programme.
• Leading site Risk Assessment programme.
• Maintaining ISO 45001 / ISO 14001 / Ethical systems responsibilities & facilitates external certification audits.
• Facilitating of Monthly HSE Governance steering meetings.
• Leading site internal HSE Audit program.
• Leading site incident management programme (hazard reporting / near miss investigation / incident investigation).
• Leading site Contractor Management programme.
• Leading site HSE Improvement activity and provides regular updates to Saica group.
• Controlling site waste management programme and associated legal responsibilities.
• Providing regular updates & advises site Operations team or any aspects related to the safety, environmental or ethical management requirements.
• Attending UK & IE quarterly HSE Governance as site representative.
• Facilitating site HSE Briefings.

Qualifications

• Previous HSE Experience in the packaging manufacturing an advantage.
• 5 years' experience in a similar role covering both H&S and environment.
• ISO 45001 & 14001 Experience in implementing, maintaining and auditing.
• NEBOSH.
• Fluent English – ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and understand both written and verbal work instructions.
