Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor safety compliance.
  • Prepare and review Risk Assessments and Method Statements.
  • Support the investigation of incidents and near misses.
  • Deliver health & safety briefings and toolbox talks to site personnel.
  • Ensure health and safety legislation is followed across projects.
  • Provide guidance to site managers on safety practices.

The Role: Health & Safety Advisor

As a Health & Safety Advisor, you will support the H&S Manager and site teams, ensuring compliance with health & safety regulations while promoting a strong safety culture across all projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Site Safety Inspections – Conduct regular site visits, monitoring compliance with health & safety regulations.
  • Risk Assessments & Method Statements (RAMS) – preparing and reviewing RAMS, ensuring site teams adhere to best practices.
  • Incident Reporting & Investigation – Support the reporting, investigation, and resolution of accidents and near misses.
  • Toolbox Talks & Training – Deliver health & safety briefings, inductions, and toolbox talks to site personnel.
  • Compliance & Auditing – Ensure HSE legislation and company policies are being followed across all projects.
  • Support & Advice – Provide guidance to site managers and operatives, helping to maintain a safe working environment.
What We're Looking For
  • SMSTS & CSCS Card – Essential for this role.
  • NEBOSH Qualification.
  • Previous experience in a health & safety role within construction, groundworks, or civil engineering.
  • Full UK Driving Licence – Required, as you will be travelling between sites.
  • IT literate is a must.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills, with the ability to engage site teams and promote safety best practices.
