A major healthcare organization in North Wales seeks Health Care Support Workers to assist medical and surgical patients in a dynamic ward environment. Responsibilities include personal care, maintaining records, and facilitating patient meals. Applicants should possess strong interpersonal skills and a desire to contribute to healthcare. Training opportunities are available for career progression. The ability to speak Welsh is a plus. A salary of £24,833 per annum is offered, pro rata if part-time.
Pantomine ward (27 BEDS) specialises in Gastro providing care for both medical and surgical patients with a variety of conditions, which can lead to a range of learning opportunities.
Applicants must have an approachable manner necessary to deal with patients and their relatives and desirable experience of a hospital environment. Applicants will work as part of a team of nurses on the ward and undertake patient fundamentals of nursing care tasks under the direct or indirect supervision of a Registered General Nurse responsible for the patient's management.
There are many training opportunities to help with career progression and staff are encouraged to become link nurses to help with self and whole ward development.

The role involves assisting patients to meet their personal care needs, recording observations and completing bedside documentation. Health Care Support Workers are also required to carry out general cleaning in the clinical environment by preparing bed spaces and cleaning equipment.
In each shift, HCSW are allocated to provide care for a group of patients. Duties include but are not inclusive to providing personal care; assisting with serving meals and drinks throughout the day; recording observations and accompanying patients for investigations.
