A not-for-profit charity in Malvern is hiring a Health Care Assistant dedicated to providing compassionate care to older residents. The role involves personal care, companionship, and meal preparation, all while building meaningful relationships with residents. No prior experience is needed as comprehensive training will be provided. Candidates should be empathetic, self-motivated, and flexible. Contract: Full Time (36 hours per week)
Working Pattern: Days, Nights, Weekends
Must live in a commutable distance to Malvern, Worcestershire.
Friends of the Elderly (FotE) is a not-for-profit charity dedicated to providing excellent care with a family feel, we have been supporting older people for over 120 years. The charity provides care home and day care services for older people, as well as grants for older people in financial difficulty.
With a person-focused approach to care, Davenham, Bradbury Court and Perrins House are picturesque homes situated in beautiful grounds in Malvern. Specialising in care for people with dementia, as well as residential and nursing care, we have a dedicated, well-trained, and compassionate team of staff on hand to ensure that Malvern feels like home.
We would like our Health Care Assistant to be someone who has a real passion for care. Keeping everyone safe is one of the charity’s core values, and is central to everything we do at Friends of the Elderly. All staff follow our Safeguarding Policy & Procedures and, if they see or suspect abuse, we expect staff to report it straight away.
As this role involves dealing with vulnerable adults, successful applicants will undertake an enhanced DBS check, and any offer of employment will be dependent on a satisfactory outcome. Having a criminal record will not necessarily bar a person from working for us, this will depend on the circumstances and background of any record.
