About the role as Health and Safety Manager at Aira

As Health and Safety Manager at Aira you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well‑being of our employees and customers across the United Kingdom. You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring health and safety initiatives to create a secure and compliant working environment.

What you will be doing as Health and Safety Manager at Aira
  • Develop, implement, and review health and safety policies and procedures in line with relevant legislation and industry best practices.
  • Ensure the company's compliance with all health and safety regulations and standards, conducting regular audits and inspections to identify areas for improvement.
  • Conduct comprehensive risk assessments for all aspects of the business, providing recommendations for risk mitigation and ensuring that corrective actions are implemented.
  • Develop and deliver health and safety training programmes for employees, subcontractors, and relevant stakeholders. Keep training materials up to date with changing regulations.
  • Investigate and report on all accidents and incidents, implementing preventive measures to avoid recurrence. Maintain accurate records of incidents and near misses.
  • Develop and oversee emergency response plans, ensuring that all employees are adequately trained in emergency procedures.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to promote a safety culture, providing guidance and support on health and safety matters. Act as a point of contact for all health and safety‑related inquiries.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives in health and safety performance by analysing data, identifying trends, and implementing proactive measures.
  • Maintain positive relationships with regulatory authorities, staying informed about changes in legislation and ensuring the company's ongoing compliance.
