Job summary

Soho House is seeking a Head Waiter to oversee service on the restaurant floor, guide the Front of House team, and uphold the club's high standards for members and guests. You will warmly greet guests, present menus, take orders, make recommendations, and coordinate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure timely, accurate service.

The ideal candidate has 2–3 years in a similar, upscale environment with supervisory experience, strong wine knowledge, and outstanding communication.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years in a high-end dining environment with supervisory experience.
• Excellent knowledge of food and beverage, including wine service.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with a hands-on approach.
• Confident, polished, and professional demeanor.
• Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
• Familiar with POS systems and reservations software.

Responsibilities

• Greet members warmly and engage upon seating.
• Take accurate food and drink orders and note dietary needs.
• Coordinate with kitchen and bar for timely, correct deliveries.
• Provide knowledgeable menu recommendations and wine pairings.
• Maintain exceptional table service and proactive refills.
• Ensure a pristine dining environment and settings reset.
• Handle member requests with flexibility for personalized experiences.
• Process payments via card, app, or House Pay.
• Maintain discretion with VIPs and PWKs.
• Lead daily service and motivate the waitstaff with feedback.
