Job summary

Soho House is seeking a Head Waiter to lead the floor team and deliver exceptional dining experiences for members and guests. You will work closely with the Restaurant Manager to guide service, maintain high standards, and ensure seamless guest interactions from greeting to bill.

Ideal candidates bring 2–3 years in a similar luxury setting, strong wine knowledge, and proven leadership and communication skills. The role offers on-site work with comprehensive staff benefits and ongoing training.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years in a similar high-end dining environment, with supervisory or senior waiter experience.
• Excellent food and beverage knowledge, including wine service.
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills with a hands-on approach.
• Confident, polished, and professional demeanour.
• Exceptional communication and organisational skills.
• Familiarity with POS systems and reservation software.

Responsibilities

• Greet members warmly, present menus, and engage immediately upon seating.
• Take accurate food and drink orders, accommodating allergies or dietary needs.
• Coordinate with kitchen and bar to ensure timely delivery of orders.
• Provide knowledgeable recommendations on menu items and pairings.
• Maintain top-quality service and proactively top up beverages and water.
• Ensure a pristine dining area and handle VIPs with discretion and professionalism.
• Lead and supervise the daily service on the floor and mentor staff.
