Job summary

Soho House is seeking a Head Waiter to lead the restaurant floor, supervise the team, and uphold the club’s high standards for members and guests. You will greet guests, guide staff, and coordinate with kitchen and bar to ensure seamless service.

You will bring 2–3 years in a premium dining setting, strong wine knowledge, leadership, and excellent communication. This role requires a professional approach and a passion for delivering memorable experiences.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years in a high-end dining environment, with supervisory experience.
• Excellent knowledge of food and beverage, including wine service.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Confident, polished and professional demeanour.
• Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
• Experience with POS systems and reservation software.

Responsibilities

• Warmly greet members, introduce menus, and ensure immediate engagement upon seating.
• Take accurate food and drink orders, accommodating any allergies or dietary needs.
• Deliver a seamless service by coordinating with kitchen and bar staff, ensuring timely and correct order delivery.
• Provide knowledgeable recommendations on menu items, including food and drink pairings.
• Maintain exceptional table service—top up water, wine, and beverages proactively throughout the member’s stay.
• Ensure a pristine environment, including setting up and resetting tables, and maintaining cleanliness at all times.
• Handle member requests and special accommodations with flexibility to create memorable, personalized experiences.
• Support seamless payment through card, the Soho House App, or House Pay.
• Uphold discretion and professionalism, especially when serving VIPs and PWKs.
• Lead and supervise the daily service on the restaurant floor, ensuring seamless and elevated guest experiences.
• Support and motivate the waitstaff team, offering training, coaching, and consistent feedback.
