Overview

This is an exciting opportunity for a Head RVN to join us at Polmont & Grangemouth Veterinary Clinics. This is a full-time role offering 40 hours per week with a salary between £27k-£36k, depending on experience, plus benefits. You'll be joining a team that offers the chance to further your experience, home in on a particular skill set, and work in a supportive environment.

We are a sociable and welcoming team, the practices are situated centrally between Edinburgh & Glasgow with good transport links.


Role and Responsibilities


  • Support the Practice Director with driving overall practice productivity.

  • Support a nursing team made up of 4 RVNs and 2 SVNs; provide clinical supervision to help them reach their potential and develop along nurse career pathways.

  • Foster a positive and collaborative team culture across the practice.

  • Drive clinical and non-clinical projects and initiatives, ensure PSS compliance, RPS responsibilities, and Health & Safety.


What We're Looking For / Qualifications


  • Strong clinical knowledge with excellent leadership skills to ensure operational efficiency across nursing duties, theatre preparation, inpatient care and stock control.

  • Experience in a leadership role is desirable; this role could suit an experienced RVN ready to take the next step, or someone stepping up from a senior role.

  • Ability to support and develop the nursing team while fostering a positive, proactive working environment.


Salary and Benefits
