Overview

Head Receptionist - Private GP Practice

Kensington, Central London

£35,000

On behalf of our client, we are looking for a Head Receptionist to work for a boutique, private, family run GP Practice in the heart of Kensington. A pivotal role, managing two receptionists, ensuring the smooth running of the Practice and delivering 5* customer service to patients.

Key Duties
  • To supervise the professional greeting of patients and visitors, to the highest standards.
  • Produce, manage and operate the reception rota, checking future planned absences, planning cover and ensuring overtime is provided when necessary
  • On-going development of skills and knowledge for the reception team
  • Leading, monitoring, motivating and inspiring the team; providing guidance and support.
  • Booking appointments with patients face to face and via telephone adhering to book on the day slots
  • Hold fortnightly reception meetings with admin staff
  • Monitoring of stock levels and ordering stationery and medical supplies
  • Check outstanding invoices at the start of the day and ensure that bad debt is chased.
  • Registration of new patients.
  • Taking accurate and relevant telephone messages
  • Receiving and giving prescriptions from and to patients always checking their name and address and ensuring prescriptions are circulated to available doctor
  • Ensure reception and waiting areas are always kept tidy
  • Deal appropriately with visit requests and emergency calls
  • Induction and training of receptionists
