A leading education provider in the UK is seeking an experienced Head of Safety, Health & Environment. This pivotal role involves ensuring compliance, developing safety policies, and managing a team of professionals. Candidates should have extensive health and safety experience along with relevant qualifications. The position is critical for promoting a positive safety culture within a collaborative environment. We are looking for an experienced Head of Safety, Health & Environment to lead and oversee health, safety, and wellbeing across our group. This pivotal role will ensure compliance with statutory requirements, implement best practices, and foster a positive safety culture across the Group.
You will also manage a small team of health & safety professionals, providing leadership, support, and development opportunities.
You will work closely with senior leadership, managers, and staff to provide expert guidance, develop policies and procedures, and deliver training to ensure a safe and secure learning and working environment.
Interviews will be held in January 2026.
Extensive experience in health & safety and fire safety management, ideally within a multi-site organisation.
Strong knowledge of current health & safety legislation and best practices.
Excellent communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to influence, advise, and engage with stakeholders at all levels.
A degree in a relevant subject area & professional health & safety qualifications (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH)
Proven leadership skills, including experience managing a small team.
