Head of Operations

Overview

Excellent opportunity for a proven Head of Operations to join an established global engineering business. As Head of Operations you will get the freedom and autonomy to make positive improvements across the business.

Salary & Hours

£75,000 basic + 20% bonus + £650 pm car allowance (total package exceeds £90,000). Flexible hours around core days. 25 days holiday + banks.

Qualifications

• Proven experience and a track record in improving operational performance, preferably within an engineering / manufacturing environment.
• Strong man‑management skills. The position has 5 direct reports, all of whom are Managers and are keen to continue developing.
• A strategic mindset and ability to identify opportunities for continuous improvement by implementing new processes.
• A wider appreciation for HSE, financial accountability, and manufacturing capacity within an engineering environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day operations of the production facility & financial aspects of the operations in line with budgets and P&L.
• Lead a team of Managers and continue to offer support and development where needed.
• Cooperate with wider sites to ensure Operations are as efficient as possible.
• Promote continuous improvement and implement new processes to develop manufacturing capabilities.
• Provide relevant information and detail on an annual basis for the factory budgeting process.
• Develop and maintain best practices in HSE awareness.

Commutable from Leicester, Nottingham, Birmingham, Coventry, Derby, East Midlands.
