• Extensive experience in Engineering within a similar Food Manufacturing or FMCG environment.
• Strong technical background in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Proven leadership skills with experience managing Engineering teams including Engineering Managers.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the engineering strategy.
• Oversee effective Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedules.
• Collaborate with operations and NPD teams to introduce new products.
• Manage the CAPEX plan for the site.
• Oversee engineering projects from inception to completion.

The Role

As the Head of Engineering you will be at the forefront of our engineering operations, ensuring the smooth running of our two Nottingham sites. This role is perfect for a seasoned engineering professional with a strong technical background and leadership experience. You will oversee a team of Maintenance Managers & Engineers, manage the PPM schedules & CAPEX plan, and work closely with operations and New Product Development to align factory capabilities with our innovative product offerings.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the engineering strategy, focusing on proactive rather than reactive measures.
• Oversee effective Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedules.
• Collaborate with operations and NPD teams to introduce new products.
• Manage the CAPEX plan for the site.
• Oversee engineering projects from inception to completion.

What We're Looking For

• Extensive experience in Engineering within a similar Food Manufacturing or FMCG environment.
• Strong technical background in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Proven leadership skills with experience managing Engineering teams including Engineering Managers.
• Ideally, experience with short shelf life / chilled foods.
