Head of Credit Risk - Mortgages

Our client is seeking an Interim Head of Credit Risk with strong mortgages experience. This is a short-term contract role with an immediate start.

Key Requirements:

• A career history of working within mortgages
• Demonstrable practical experience of managing credit risk through the credit lifecycle
• Experience of expert and judgmental lending approaches as well as portfolio/modelled approaches to managing credit risk
• Experience developing, implementing, and embedding all aspects of risk management frameworks, collaborating with internal and external partners
• Experience in developing and integrating enhanced management information capabilities for oversight and decision-making
• Knowledge of the regulatory environment related to credit risk and understanding of UK banking/financial market trends and upcoming regulatory changes
• Experience leading continuous improvement initiatives in business-as-usual operations
• Prior experience presenting to Board, Non-executive directors, or regulators
• Ability to promote a positive risk culture within a business, function, and team
