Head of Credit Risk- Mortgages

Our client is seeking an Interim Head of Credit Risk with extensive mortgages experience. This is a short-term contract role with an immediate start.

Key Requirements:

• Extensive experience working within mortgages
• Practical experience managing credit risk throughout the credit lifecycle
• Experience with expert and judgmental lending approaches, as well as portfolio/modelled approaches
• Proven ability to develop, implement, and embed risk management frameworks, collaborating with internal and external partners
• Experience in developing and integrating management information systems for oversight and decision-making
• Understanding of the regulatory environment related to credit risk and UK banking/financial market trends and upcoming regulations
• Experience leading continuous improvement initiatives
• Prior experience presenting to Boards, Non-executive Directors, or regulators
• Ability to promote a positive risk culture within teams
