Head of Credit Risk- Mortgages

Our client is seeking an Interim Head of Credit Risk with extensive mortgages experience. This is a short-term contract role with an immediate start.

Key Requirements:

• Significant experience working within mortgages
• Practical experience managing credit risk throughout the credit cycle
• Experience with expert and judgmental lending approaches, as well as portfolio/modelled approaches
• Proven ability to develop, implement, and embed risk management frameworks, collaborating with internal and external partners
• Experience enhancing management information capabilities for oversight and decision-making
• Knowledge of the regulatory environment related to credit risk and understanding of UK banking/financial market trends and upcoming regulations
• Experience leading continuous improvement initiatives
• Previous experience presenting to Board, Non-executive directors, or regulators
• Ability to promote a positive risk culture within teams
