Job summary

The Access Group in Wolverhampton is recruiting for a hardware support role that focuses on configuring, building, and deploying devices such as laptops, desktops, routers and switches. You will resolve hardware issues and coordinate with service desks and suppliers to ensure timely delivery.

Qualifications

• Experience resolving hardware issues and configuring devices.
• Familiar with SLAs and ticketing systems.
• Knowledge of vendor hardware (HP/Dell/Lenovo).

Responsibilities

• Configure, build and deploy customer hardware, including laptops, desktops, routers, switches and firewalls, ensuring orders are delivered accurately and on time.
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware-related issues, working closely with customers, the service desk and third-party suppliers to provide a smooth support experience.
• Manage workshop operations including goods received, stock control, device repairs, secure disposal processes and inventory management through ConnectWise.
• Support managed device services, contribute to standard device builds and remote management tools, and identify opportunities to improve service quality, efficiency and customer satisfaction.
