Job summary

Actian is seeking a highly technical Tech Lead to guide a small 3–4 person engineering team. You will write critical backend code, architect scalable SaaS systems in Scala/Python/TypeScript, and mentor teammates by example.

The role emphasizes building, not just managing, with a focus on reliability, product understanding, and AI-driven delivery. You will own technical execution, collaborate with product managers, and ensure production health in a modern cloud environment.

Qualifications

• Deep backend engineering experience building and scaling cloud-native SaaS platforms.
• Strong, production-proven experience writing code in Scala; Python or TypeScript are a plus.
• Deep experience using AI coding agents in daily work and reviewing AI-generated code for security or architecture.
