Job summary

The Axholme Academy Ltd. is offering an Information Communications Technician Level 3 apprenticeship in Scunthorpe. You will learn to set up, deploy and maintain school IT, diagnose faults on Chromebooks and devices, and support staff and students with tech problems.

Training through DN COLLEGES GROUP, with supervision, includes network tasks, asset management and device lifecycle support. Working week is term-time, 8am-3pm, with progression to higher apprenticeship or full-time employment

Qualifications

• GCSE English and Maths at 4/C or above are required.
• Willingness to learn and complete the Information Communications Technician Level 3 apprenticeship.
• Ability to follow policies and work well in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with setup, deployment and maintenance of school IT equipment.
• Diagnose and repair faults on Chromebooks, laptops, desktops, printers and peripherals.
• Perform routine maintenance and health checks on school IT systems.
• Replace faulty hardware components as needed.
• Maintain records of repairs, warranties and inventories.
• Prepare and configure new devices for staff and students.
• Apply security policies to ICT tasks as required.
• Provide first-line technical support to staff and students.
• Escalate complex issues to the IT/Network Manager.
• Assist with routine network administration and device management.
• Support classroom technology installations and relocations.
• Ensure compliance with safeguarding and data protection policies.
