  • Maintain a clean, safe, and ESD-compliant workstation.

Hand Solderer - Mploy Group

Location: Rugby

Hours: 37.5 hours per week (4 or 5 day working week)

Start Date: Immediate

Overview

Mploy Group is seeking a skilled Hand Solderer on behalf of our client in Rugby within the electronics manufacturing sector. The successful candidate will be IPC‑trained and confident soldering to Class 1, 2 and 3 standards. This role suits someone with excellent attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to work accurately from drawings and BOMs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out high-quality hand soldering to IPC Class 1, 2 & 3 standards.
  • Work in accordance with IPC J-STD and IPC-A-610 (training/certification preferred).
  • Assemble, rework, and inspect PCB assemblies, wiring, and electronic components.
  • Follow and interpret assembly drawings, wiring diagrams, and Bills of Materials (BOMs).
  • Ensure all work meets quality, reliability, and compliance standards.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and ESD‑compliant workstation.
  • Communicate clearly with team members and supervisors regarding production progress.
Skills & Experience Required
  • Proven hand soldering experience within an electronics or assembly environment.
  • IPC trained (J-STD / 610 desirable).
  • Ability to solder to high‑reliability specifications (Class 3).
  • Good communication skills and a proactive approach.
  • Confident working from technical documentation, assembly drawings, and BOMs.
  • High attention to detail with strong manual dexterity.
