Job summary

Hampton by Hilton Newcastle is recruiting a Guest Service Assistant to work night shifts. The role is 16-24 hours per week across 2 or 3 shifts, including midweek, weekends and bank holidays. You will greet guests, handle check-in/out, serve drinks and light food, and help setup breakfast with a strong emphasis on guest satisfaction.

We value energetic team players with good communication skills who can multitask and maintain high service standards while following all safety policies.

Qualifications

• Experience in hospitality industry, preferably hotel, bar or restaurant.
• Knowledge of hotel reservation systems.
• Fluent English, additional languages a plus.

Responsibilities

• Check guests in/out and manage bills and payments.
• Serve alcohol, soft drinks, hot drinks and snacks.
• Prepare and serve food from a limited menu and set up breakfast buffet.
• Overnight cleaning in public areas and assist guests to ensure a positive experience.
• Follow food safety, licensing and health & safety policies.

The perfect candidate will have experience in the hospitality industry, ideally having worked in a hotel, bar or restaurant. This role is for 16-24 hours per week across 2 or 3 shifts and will include midweek, weekends and bank holidays.

Main Roles & Responsibilities

• Working across all departments of the hotel including reception, bar & kitchen.
• Checking guests in/out and managing bills & payments.
• Serving alcohol, soft drinks, hot drinks & snacks.
• Prepare and serve food from a limited simple menu.
• Prepare and set up the breakfast buffet.
• Overnight cleaning in the public areas of the hotel.
• Helping guests & creating positive experiences.
• Follow all food safety, licensing and health and safety policies to work safely.

Useful Experience
