Job description

We are seeking a Haematology Nurse Specialist - Secondments position to join our dedicated team atSalisbury NHS Foundation Trust. In this role, you will serve as the key worker for haematology patients, providing coordinated and continuous care from initial investigations and diagnosis through every stage of their cancer journey.

If you are applying for a role with a secondment opportunity, you must speak with your current line manager about your application prior to making it. You must discuss the department's ability to support you on this secondment and that the current service of your department isn't affected.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will act as the key worker for haematology patients from investigation to initial diagnosis and throughout the whole cancer journey to ensure coordination and continuity of care. The post holder will liaise with all members of the multi-disciplinary team, including members of the primary healthcare team, to provide specialist nursing knowledge and expertise on all aspects of haematology care.
