Job summary

JD Gyms is seeking a Duty Manager for Sunderland to oversee daily club operations, ensure safety and maintain theJD Gyms standards. You will lead frontline staff, support the team with coaching and maintain a welcoming, high-energy environment for members.

You will drive member satisfaction, help achieve membership and commercial goals, and work flexible hours including early mornings, evenings, and weekends to fit business needs.

Qualifications

• Experience leading or supporting colleagues in a leisure, fitness, hospitality or customer-focused environment.
• Demonstrates a strong commitment to delivering excellent member service.
• Must hold Level 2 Gym Instructor qualification.
• Experience contributing to membership growth and local marketing initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Run day-to-day club operations and support opening/closing duties.
• Maintain high cleanliness and safety standards across the club.
• Support membership, revenue and commercial objectives.
• Deliver outstanding member service through positive, professional interactions.
