Job summary

Rudding Park Hotel in Harrogate is seeking a proactive Housekeeping Supervisor to lead a team and uphold the highest cleanliness standards across bedrooms, public spaces and resort facilities.

You'll train new team members, manage daily duties, handle guest requests with a calm, professional manner, and ensure every guest enjoys a spotless, welcoming stay.

Part-time, 22 hours per week, with enhanced pay for evenings and weekends, and a range of employee benefits.

Qualifications

• Previous hotel supervisory experience essential.
• Ability to manage a team to deliver excellence.
• Great attention to detail and high standards.
• Excellent verbal communication and guest service skills.
• Reliable, polite and well presented with a valid driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Provide the highest level of service to our guests at all times.
• Clean and service allocated areas to the highest standards.
• Record and undertake special cleaning requirements around the full Resort.
• Refer guest complaints to a senior member of the Housekeeping Team to resolve the guest's satisfaction.
• Ensure that trolleys and service points are kept orderly and replenished with linens and supplies.
• To supervise the smooth running of turndown and ensure SOPs are followed.
• Manage dry cleaning and in-house washing.
• Organise and maintain store rooms and linen stores.
• In the absence of holidays managers, oversee van cleanliness and linen deliveries.
• Ensure corridors and public areas are clean and unobstructed.
• Report and manage lost property and enquiries via email & telephone.
• Maintain security of guest rooms and report suspicious activity.
• Report equipment faults to maintenance and notify issues in guest areas.
• Train new team members and supervise junior staff.
• Undertake periodic cleaning requirements as necessary.
