Job summary

Sandman Hotel Group in Glasgow is seeking a Guest Service Agent/Receptionist to greet guests at check-in and check-out, answer inquiries by phone and email, and provide accurate information about the hotel and local area.

The role offers 40 hours per week on a shift basis including weekends, with opportunities to upsell services and collaborate with every department to ensure a warm, memorable stay for guests.

Qualifications

• Experience in hotel reception is desirable but not required.
• Excellent communication and friendly demeanor.
• Professional appearance and proactive service mindset.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and check in/out of guests.
• Cash handling and processing credit card transactions.
• Handling telephone and email enquiries in a timely and professional manner.
• Taking and processing reservations through our Property Management System.
• Providing information to guests about the hotel and local area.
• Creating a warm and welcoming environment for our guests.
• Upselling ancillary hotel services.
• Liaising with all hotel departments as required.
• To anticipate and address guest's service needs.
• Any additional tasks assigned by management.
