Job summary

Whitbarrow Village, a lodge resort near Penrith on the edge of the Lake District, is seeking a Receptionist to be the face of the property. You’ll welcome guests on arrival, look after them during their stay, handle phones and emails, and sort out problems as they arise.

Straight shifts only, typically 8am–8pm, five days over seven, with rotas posted in advance. Prior hospitality experience helps but isn’t required; many successful colleagues come from shops, pubs or care roles.

Qualifications

• Friendly, organised and calm when it's busy.
• Comfortable talking to anyone.
• Reception or hospitality experience helps but isn't required.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests on arrival and assist during their stay.
• Handle phone and email enquiries.
• Resolve guest issues as they arise.
• Assist with changeover days and keep shifts visible.
