Job summary

Emberwood at the Francis Hotel Bath invites applications for a Restaurant Reception Manager to lead the host team and elevate guest experience in Bath.

Reporting to the Restaurant General Manager, you will manage reservations, welcome guests, coordinate with the restaurant and hotel teams, and ensure smooth guest journeys from booking to farewell. The role includes a salary of £33k-£35k plus service charge and a benefits package.

Qualifications

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Highly detailed and attentive, ensuring accuracy in records and schedules.
• In depth knowledge of restaurant and bar offerings as well as hotel promotions.
• Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
• Strong organizational abilities with the ability to maintain composure in a fast-paced environment.
• Be comfortable dealing with ad hoc or short notice requests from guests or department head.

Responsibilities

• Work with Head Host to manage and lead the host team through breakfast, lunch and dinner.
• Welcoming guests and allocating them on the booking platform and coordinating with the restaurant team.
• Overseeing the guest journey from booking to farewell and training the host order of service.
• Manage the reservations for the restaurant and liaise with hotel reception for a seamless guest experience.
• In-depth knowledge of food and drinks and promotions from hotel and wider group.
• Handle complaints to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Record guest information and deploy to enhance guest experience.
• Maintain a tidy and organized reception/host area reflecting brand and values.
• Receive and plan event bookings with restaurant manager and head chef.
