Job summary

Emberwood, a destination restaurant at Francis Hotel Bath, is recruiting a Floor Manager to lead food service and guest experiences. This full-time role covers evenings and weekends, five days out of seven, with a total package around £30,960 plus tronç and hotel benefits.

You will supervise the Order of Service, train junior team members, and support the Restaurant Manager to ensure slick, professional service and memorable guest stays. A minimum of 1 year in a similar role is required.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience in a comparable Floor Manager or supervisory role.
• Guest-focused approach with ability to lead a hospitality team.
• Strong knowledge of service standards and staff training.

Responsibilities

• Oversee floor service to ensure high standards and guest satisfaction.
• Support Restaurant Manager in training junior staff and managing the team.
• Take sole responsibility of duty management for restaurant, bar, terrace and lounge.
• Ensure compliance with Health and Safety standards and brand guidelines.

SALARY: £30,960 + Tronc (Approx 4-5k per annum)

Who Are We Looking For?

The Floor Manager will ensure that all food services are well driven, and the team are best prepared to dial into the guests needs. They will be extremely passionate about food and beverage and dedicated to ensuring slick and professional services.

They will be proficient with the Order of service, helping support the Restaurant Manager in training other junior members of the team by shadowing and supporting them with the Order of Service, Allergy Procedures etc. They will act as a support for the Head Waiters, Head Hosts and Head Bartenders so as to ensure guest satisfaction and high levels of service.

They should have at least 1 years of experience in a comparable position and environment. It is essential they are guest focused and recognise that the team will be responsible for delivering an exquisite experience. As such, training and shaping the team is fundamental in being able to achieve a harmonious and passionate collective.

What Are The Key Responsibilities?

Guest Interaction and Repeat Business built on trust and experiences.

Keen eye for detail during service and supporting the wider team in delivering service standards of the highest quality in relation to our offering.

Assist with training of staff to be well considered, supporting one-on-ones and group sessions to build the skill level of the team.

Take on sole responsibility of duty management having operational control of the restaurant bar, terrace and lounge making decisions which effect both staff and guests.

Compliant with Health and Safety Standards, built in to deliver exquisite experiences for guests.

Working with all teams within the Hotel, to ensure all staff and guests receive warmth and generosity.

Upholding the brand with a positive attitude, energy and enthusiasm.

Displaying leadership in all aspects of the role
