Job summary

Emberwood, a luxury Bath hotel with a stylish British brasserie, is seeking an experienced Restaurant Floor Manager to lead the dining room team and uphold exceptional service.

You will work closely with the Restaurant General Manager to ensure flawless food and beverage delivery, seat guest experiences, manage reservations, and mentor junior staff.

This role offers strong progression in a renowned hospitality environment and the chance to contribute to a guest-focused, high-end dining operation.

Qualifications

• Experience managing a restaurant at Assistant Manager or Floor Manager level.
• At least 1 year in a comparable quality hospitality environment.
• Experience in a busy, fast-paced restaurant.
• Strong knowledge of reservations and bookings.
• Experience in an all-day dining operation.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day running of the restaurant and ensure exceptional service.
• Lead and develop the front-of-house team and foster a guest-focused culture.
• Collaborate with the Restaurant General Manager on operations, service standards and guest satisfaction.
• Manage reservations, seating plans and workflow to maximise guest experience.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Restaurant Floor Manager to join a luxury hotel in central Bath. The successful candidate will play a key role in the day-to-day running of the restaurant, working closely with the Restaurant General Manager to ensure exceptional food, drinks and service.

The Person

The successful Restaurant Floor Manager will have:

• Previous experience managing a restaurant at Assistant Manager, Floor Manager or similar level
• At least 1 year's experience within a comparable quality hospitality environment
• Experience working within a busy, fast-paced restaurant
• Strong knowledge of reservations and bookings
• Experience within an all-day dining operation
• A confident and natural people person who can lead from the front
• A genuine passion for food, drinks and exceptional service
• Excellent knowledge of order of service and hospitality standards
• Experience supporting the training and development of junior team members
• A keen eye for detail and a proactive approach during service
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• The ability to take responsibility for duty management and make confident operational decisions
• A strong understanding of guest satisfaction and the importance of creating memorable experiences
• Good knowledge of the local market and current hospitality trends
• A positive attitude, energy and enthusiasm
