Job summary

Hawksmoor in Edinburgh is seeking a Reservationist to be at the heart of the guest experience. This role involves welcoming guests, managing reservations and waiting lists, coordinating seating and cloakroom, and supporting the floor team to ensure smooth service.

The successful candidate will be friendly, calm under pressure, and able to think on their feet. Hospitality or customer-facing experience is helpful, but full training is provided as part of our team-focused culture.

Qualifications

• Naturally friendly, confident and great with people
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, busy restaurant environment
• Organised, calm and able to think on your feet
• A reliable team player who enjoys being part of a close-knit team
• Previous hospitality or customer-facing experience is helpful but not essential, full training provided

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests warmly and confidently on arrival
• Manage reservations, walk-ins and waiting lists during service
• Seat guests and manage the flow of the restaurant to support smooth service
• Oversee cloakroom and guest arrivals during busy periods
• Communicate clearly with managers, floor teams and the kitchen
• Support the floor team by helping set and reset tables and assist service when needed
• Handle guest enquiries in person, by phone and email with care and professionalism
