Job summary

Bowdon Associates Ltd is recruiting a Business Development Manager to grow the lift servicing portfolio in Manchester. You will win new maintenance and compliance business, nurture relationships with facilities and building managers, and manage inquiries through a busy CRM system.

The role involves generating leads, delivering compelling proposals, and coordinating with Operations, Engineering and Compliance teams to drive revenue and ensure high service standards.

Qualifications

• B2B sales experience with a focus on technical services or lifts.
• Strong lead generation, communication and negotiation skills.
• Excellent organisation and CRM proficiency.
• Knowledge of lift maintenance and LOLER regulations is desirable.
• Ambitious, commercially driven with a target focus.

Responsibilities

• Generate new business through networking, referrals, cold outreach, social selling and market research.
• Build relationships with facilities managers, property managers, managing agents, building owners and other decision-makers.
• Manage and convert inbound enquiries for portfolios of up to nine lifts.
• Produce quotations and service proposals, and negotiate maintenance contracts within pricing parameters.
• Hold remote customer meetings via Teams, with site visits where appropriate.
• Promote in-house compliance services, including LOLER Thorough Examinations.
• Identify blue-chip and strategic account opportunities and refer them to the Head of Service Sales.
• Keep an accurate CRM pipeline and sales forecast.
• Manage enquiries through the shared sales inbox, responding promptly and categorising them.
• Work closely with Operations, Engineering, Compliance and Finance teams.
