A leading recruitment agency is seeking a Group Reporting Manager to ensure the preparation of annual and interim accounts for stakeholders and the UK Stock Exchange. The ideal candidate will be a qualified accountant with a proven track record in preparing financial statements for listed companies. This position also involves providing technical accounting guidance and supporting finance teams with budgeting and forecasting processes. The role is critical for maintaining compliance with the highest standards in financial reporting.

Qualifications

  • Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA).
  • Proven track record preparing financial statements for listed companies.
  • Extensive experience of multi-national group consolidation under IFRS and technical accounting.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the completion of external announcements and annual/interim reports.
  • Provide technical accounting guidance across the Group.
  • Prepare UK statutory accounts including those for dormant companies.
  • Draft and manage accounting policies and procedures.
  • Liaison with auditors.
  • Assist with planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
  • Support Finance teams through month end and budgeting.
  • Maintain strong internal controls and improve Group Reporting processes.

£350.00 per day

Job Description of a Group Reporting Manager

As the Group Reporting Manager, you will work closely with the senior management team and stakeholders to ensure that the Group’s annual and interim accounts to shareholders and to the UK Stock Exchange are prepared to the highest standards and within the Group’s reporting deadlines.

Key responsibilities of an interim Group Reporting Manager will include:
  • Assist with the completion of external announcements and annual/interim report to meet the UK regulatory requirements
  • Provide technical accounting guidance across the Group – Board, Senior management and Divisional finance teams in accordance with IFRS & UK GAAP
  • Prepare UK statutory accounts including ones for dormant companies
  • Draft, communicate and manage the implementation of accounting policies, procedures and controls to obtain the highest integrity of financial reporting
  • Liaison with auditors
  • Assist with the planning, budgeting and forecasting processes, including the consolidated Income Statement, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow
  • Support Finance teams based in other UK sites through month end, the budget process, financial analysis and other ad hoc projects
  • Maintain a focus on strong internal controls and develop further the Group Reporting department’s processes to ensure consistent compliance with best practice
