  • Ensure all operations comply with relevant legislation, council policies and best‑practice safety standards.
  • Respond professionally to enquiries, complaints and service requests from residents, councillors and internal departments.

Job description

We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Basingstoke and Deane to assist with the appointment of a Grounds Maintenance Manager on a 6-month contract highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.

Rate of Pay: 37.00 - 47.94 per hour

Summary

We are seeking a suitably qualified and professional Grounds Maintenance Manager to lead and support the council's grounds maintenance operations for an interim period of up to six months. The postholder will oversee the day‑to‑day management of a large grounds maintenance workforce ensuring that services are delivered efficiently, safely and to a high standard across all council sites.

Working from the Wade Road depot the manager will play a vital role in maintaining high‑quality public spaces, supporting staff, coordinating works and ensuring exceptional customer service. Regular site visits are an essential part of the role.
