Lodges on Loch Ness is looking for an experienced Grounds Keeper and Handyman to help maintain and develop its award winning holiday accommodation site in Foyers.
The business has grown significantly in recent years, with all 6 lodges now restored and managed as one high quality destination.
As occupancy has increased, so has the need for a dedicated person who can keep the grounds, buildings and facilities to the highest standard.
The role covers a wide range of outdoor and maintenance duties.
You will manage trees and vegetation across the site, carry out basic grounds clearing, and use equipment such as chainsaws and log splitters safely and confidently.
You will support landscaping tasks and take responsibility for ensuring the grounds remain tidy, accessible and well presented.
You will run checks on machinery, lodge amenities, waste systems and key safety areas including electrical and gas.
You will help clean and maintain hot tubs and saunas, keep decking areas fresh, and ensure the site always has a supply of logs for guests.
You will also monitor the private road and carry out basic repairs using the equipment provided.
General maintenance forms a steady part of the role.
This may include painting, basic joinery, emergency tiling, minor plumbing and repairs as needed.
Emergency call outs are part of the job and would be paid in addition to the main salary.
This role suits someone who is practical, organised and comfortable working across a wide range of tasks throughout the year.
There is always something needing attention on site, and someone with good judgement and hands on experience will thrive here.
The position is available at 30–40 hours per week depending on preference.
