Job summary

A leading resort company in Minehead is seeking a Grounds and Gardens Team Member. This role involves maintaining the resort grounds to high standards, performing garden maintenance, and executing a variety of ground duties like litter clearance. Ideal candidates should possess a full UK driving licence and have good communication skills. Previous gardening experience is preferred but not essential. This is a hands-on job requiring initiative and teamwork. Flexible working hours apply, with operations 7 days a week.

Qualifications

• Must possess a full UK driver licence, preferably age 21 for driving resort vehicles.
• Good communication skills for team collaboration.
• Confident to work independently when necessary.
• Previous experience in grounds maintenance or gardening is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain high standards of grounds within the resort.
• Carry out effective garden maintenance including grass cutting and shrub management.
• Perform litter clearance and other ground duties as needed.

Grounds and Gardens Team Member - Minehead*

Description

We are looking for a new team to join us as Facilities department.

As a Grounds and Gardens Team member on our resort you will be ensuring that the grounds within the resort are maintained to the current high standards and will carry out effective garden maintenance including grass cutting, management and maintenance of shrubs, hedges, flower beds and trees.

We will be looking for you to bring a high standard of presentation to the front of house areas and carry out a range of ground duties including litter clearance, as well as having the ability to be a hands‑on part of the maintenance team.

There may be other ad‑hoc duties you will be asked to perform outside of your normal day‑to‑day role within the gardens team.

Normal Working Hours

Hours could vary between 8.00am-6.00pm, The business is operational 7 days a week, where rest days can vary.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

The ideal candidate should have :

• Full UK driver licence - Desirable - (age 21 for driving resort vehicles)
• Have good communication skills
• Confident to work on own initiative as necessary
• Previous Grounds Maintenance / Gardening experience preferred but not essential
