Job summary

A leading multi-disciplinary consultancy in the UK is seeking a Ground Investigations Engineer to support geotechnical and site investigation projects. You will be responsible for planning, supervising, and reporting on ground investigations, as well as analyzing data and producing technical reports. The role requires a degree in Geotechnical, Civil, or Geological Engineering, alongside relevant experience in site investigations and geotechnical standards. The role involves planning, supervising, and reporting on ground investigations across civil engineering and infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, manage, and supervise ground investigation works, including drilling, sampling, and in-situ testing.
  • Analyse geotechnical data and produce clear technical reports and recommendations.
  • Liaise with clients, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure project requirements are met.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards.
  • Support business development through technical input to proposals and tender submissions.
Skills & Experience
  • Degree in Geotechnical, Civil, or Geological Engineering (or equivalent).
  • Experience in site investigations, geotechnical testing, and laboratory analysis.
  • Knowledge of UK and Irish geotechnical standards and guidance.
  • Strong technical report writing and data interpretation skills.
  • Professional membership (e.g., ICE, IGeol, or similar) desirable.
