Job summary

Lidl GB is launching a Retail Manager Development Programme in the United Kingdom. You will rotate through Store, Warehouse and Supply Chain roles in Year 1 and then specialise in Year 2, building leadership skills and experience across core operations.

The programme leads toward a regional leadership position with a strong development and mentoring framework. The role offers a £40,000 per annum salary, 30 days pro rata holiday, a company car, and extensive development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree (2:2 or higher).
• Eligible to work in the UK on a full-time basis.
• Willingness to travel regularly to stores and live within a commutable distance from your chosen Regional Distribution Centre.
• Full UK driving licence by 1 February 2027.
• Assertiveness and confidence in your communication skills to build relationships.
• Proactive, hands-on mindset with a strong desire to understand core operational processes.
• Enthusiasm to learn, develop and succeed in a fast-moving environment.
• Resilience and determination to stay motivated and adapt to challenges.
• Able to attend the assessment day on 27/01/2027.

Responsibilities

• Rotate across Sales (store-based) to gain experience from Customer Assistant to store management.
• Learn Logistics in warehouse operations across core areas and join the warehouse management team.
• Explore Supply Chain tasks like ordering products, managing quality and working with suppliers.
• Develop leadership skills and prepare for a regional distribution centre role.
• Participate in video interview and face-to-face assessment centre as part of the programme.
