Graduate/Trainee Quantity Surveyor  £22-£27,000   City of London

Gap Construction are proud to be representing this family-owned main contractor in their search for a Quantity Surveyor to work at their head office in Central London. The successful candidate will have a chance to support the Managing Director and have the role purposely built around them.

This newly created role will allow you to become an integral part of the company's expansion plans, providing an opportunity to shape these plans while being part of them. Performance objectives and training will be offered, along with the chance to become a key member of a successful, collaborative team.

Responsibilities include:

  • Preparing, negotiating, and agreeing on final accounts.
  • Procurement of sub-contract and material packages.
  • Preparing cost budgets and prices for contract variations.
  • Preparing monthly reports for management.
  • Controlling and monitoring expenditure against the budget.

Person Specification:

  • The successful candidate needs to be personable, dedicated, and ambitious, with a positive and can-do attitude.
  • Full driving license required.
  • Ability to develop strong working relationships.
  • Good IT and communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
