Overview

Due to continued expansion, an abundant pipeline of works, and the recent award of major contracts, our client is looking to appoint a Graduate Engineer to support estimating, design, quantity surveying and construction teams. Full training, mentoring, leadership and guidance will be provided as your career progresses.


Responsibilities


  • Design and estimation of various specialist projects using civil, structural and geotechnical knowledge.

  • Meet with clients to understand project requirements and develop the most appropriate solutions, including preparation of offers and negotiating terms to secure a profitable workload.

  • Support contract management from receipt of order through to completion, ensuring profitability and safety, including the preparation of RAMS.

  • Conduct site visits and surveys to specify and procure materials, and arrange required testing.


The Person


  • Good communication, organisation and multi-tasking skills.

  • Full UK driving licence for site visits.

  • HNC, HND, BSc or BEng in Civil, Structural or Geotechnical Engineering.

  • Proficiency in IT and MS Office.

  • Ability to build effective relationships at all levels, internally and externally.

  • Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative.

  • Enthusiasm, results focus and ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

  • Effective negotiation skills with internal and external clients and teams.
