A primary care practice in Nottingham is seeking a dedicated and fully registered doctor. The role involves patient consultations, home visits, and collaborating with a supportive team. Ideal candidates will have strong communication skills and the ability to work independently. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to patient care within a stable practice known for its community-centered approach while maintaining high standards of service.
We are a friendly, supportive practice of 6 partners, 6 salaried GP and 3 GP registrars. We are popular with patients who value the continuity of care provided.
We are currently seeking a doctor who will strive to provide excellent patient care
We are also very active practice in our Arnold and Calverton PCN, working collaboratively with Clinical pharmacists, Social prescriber and First Contact Physio and a Mental Health Coach
Patient Consultations
Assess, diagnose, and manage patients presenting with acute and chronic conditions.
Provide routine check-ups, medication reviews, and health advice.
Home Visits
Conduct visits to patients who are housebound or unable to attend the practice.
On-Call and Duty Cover
Share in on-call or duty responsibilities, including urgent care and telephone consultations.
Clinical Documentation
Maintain accurate and timely medical records, prescriptions, and referrals.
Prescribing and Medication Management
Prescribe medications safely according to guidelines.
Review ongoing treatments and monitor patient progress.
Referrals and Coordination of Care
Refer patients to secondary care or specialist services when needed.
Liaise with other healthcare professionals, including nurses, specialists, and allied health staff.
Stenhouse Medical Centre is a historic Practice which has provided care to the patients of Arnold since 1886. We are renowned for our patient centred approach and as a training Practice we strive to ensure our high standards are maintained. We provide services to around 12,788 patients from a mixed area, with a roughly average deprivation index.
We are a stable Partnership of six GP Partners. We also have fivve salaried GPs as well as GP registrars. We employ a range of multidisciplinary staff including an advanced nurse practitioner, 4 Practice nurses, 3 HCAs, several ARRS staff including physiotherapists and pharmacists and a full complement of administrative and management staff.

Conduct patient consultations (~25 patient contacts per session) for acute and chronic conditions.
Undertake home visits for patients unable to attend the practice.
Share on-call duties with other GPs as required.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical records.
Prescribe medications safely and appropriately.
Make referrals to secondary care or specialist services when necessary.
Collaborate with the practice team to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
